How to identify viruses and other types of malicious software

Computer viruses are unwanted malicious programs that enter into the computer without the knowledge of the user. The damage that viruses make is serious, but most of the times it is meaningless. Spywares – These are also programs that can be found on anyone’s computer. What they do is they actually spy everything you do. They see the websites you visit, the data you enter, the credit card numbers, personal information, the people you communicate with and so on. All of this, the spyware uses to send to a marketing firm or to abuse your data such as steal money from your credit card. They usually come in a form of programs. So, before you download and install some new and interesting program, make sure you research and find out if it is safe to use.
